Privacy and turning it off
Sync is opt-in, private to you, and reversible at any time. Your local files are never touched by any of this.
The rules
- Opt-in. Nothing is sent until you create a key and give it to your agent. If you say no, the agent never syncs.
- Private. Synced data is visible only to you when signed in. It is never public or shared, and SkillPlug never mines it, sells it, or uses it for marketing or training.
- Minimal. Only the structured fields listed in What syncs.
- Revocable. You can revoke a key or delete your data at any time, and deletion is immediate and permanent.
How it's stored
- Keys are stored only as a one-way hash. SkillPlug can't show you a key again, which is why it is shown once.
- Each system keeps only its latest snapshot. There is no history of past syncs.
- Your account folder is identified by a keyed hash, not your email address or phone number.
Turning it off
On the AI connections page in your account:
| Button | What happens |
|---|---|
| Disconnect (connected apps) | That app, such as Claude or ChatGPT, loses access immediately. Your synced data stays. |
| Revoke | That key stops working immediately, for sync and for the agent API. Your synced data stays. |
| Pause sync | Your agent's syncs are refused until you turn sync back on. Keys and data stay. |
| Delete data | Deletes one system's synced data. Your keys stay. |
| Disconnect and delete everything | Disconnects every app, revokes all keys (including ones Composio uses), and deletes all synced data for your account. |
Or tell your agent:
- "Turn off account sync." It sets sync to
off, deletes the key file (or tells you to remove the environment variable), and points you to the account page to revoke the key. - "Delete my synced data." It deletes that system's data from your account. Your local
skillplug-state/folder is untouched.
