Every v2.1 system uses the same layout, so once you know one pack you know them all.

The root SKILL.md

The root is the only file your assistant needs to register. It defines:

The session loop, run every session: load state, orient in three lines or fewer, check in, route the request, do the work, write state, and close with one dated next action.
First run: the intake interview.
The phase map: when you enter and leave each phase.
Phase picking from your state, not guesswork.
A routing table from what you say to the sub-skill that handles it.
Operating rules, safety, and integrity.
Cross-pack hand-off through the shared folder.

Sub-skills

Each phase folder has a README.md with the phase's entry and exit criteria, and one folder per sub-skill, each with its own SKILL.md. Sub-skills use a pack prefix:

Every sub-skill follows the same sections: purpose, when to use it, what it reads from state, procedure, outputs, check-in questions, failure modes, and hand-off.

The application, Researcher, and original Med Student skills are one folder each with a single SKILL.md:

Bundles add a START-HERE.md at the top that lists the folders inside and which INSTALL.md to follow for each.
